Fishing continues to be solid out of Holland Mi We fished 125-225 this morning We caught a mixbag of Salmon, Coho, Trout, and Steelhead. Spoons on downriggers, Flies on coppers, and Spin n Glows on wire divers were best for us. Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful weather on mid September weekend ! Tight Lines !!

Fishing has been great in 100-120fow. Bigweenie Meat Rigs on low divers 130-170 down. **hidden content** and 400 coppers with chrome paddles green flies have been solid! Timing is great to fill your freezer Doesnt get much better than this!!

The Captain recommended we go out an hour later to catch more fish in the dark, and he was certainly right about that. Once the sun went down, the fish started biting. And we got to see the most beautiful sunset on the boat, which I will never forget.

Overall, outstanding day! We caught 19 fish in less than three hours. We did see quite a few dead catfish on the water, which may have been due to the increasing water temps. From a catching standpoint, though, we were satisfied.

Weather stopped us from salmon fishing on lake Michigan, but we were still able to fish for fresh water drum on the smaller lake (forgot the name). Disappointed we couldn't bring some fish home to eat, but that's not the captain's fault.

Holland is a great port with a short channel and great views. The marina is easy to get to, parking is easy. I would not fish anywhere else in West Michigan than Holland myself.

My Captain says fishing in May (and April) are the best time if you want to be catching and not just fishing. It seems that Salmon is a bit harder to time, but Lake Trout seem abundant in May. We like Lake Trout, so it is not a disappointment.
